Depart after breakfast with a picnic box to be had on the way and drive North West to Kitale (380kms). Arrive in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day visiting Saiwa Swamp National park hoping to spot the rare aquatic antelope, the Sitatunga. Saiwa is famed as the host of the very shy and rare Aquatic Antelope called the Sitatunga. It is also home to the rare De Brazza,Blue monkey and Colobus Monkeys. For bird watchers one can be lucky to spot the expert mimic bird called Grey winged Robin that mimics other bird songs to the tee. There is also a chance to spot the Rose Turaco, Luders bush shrike and Blue headed Coucal among others. Return to Aturkan hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Depart after breakfast taking a picnic box with you and head to less traveled Mt Elgon National park (25kms) for a game drive and visit to the famous caves. The Nature is unique and picturesque. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3. Depart after breakfast and drive South to Rondo Kakamega forest (130kms) arriving in time for lunch. After lunch embark on a short nature walk in this last remaining equatorial rainforest. Dinner and overnight at the retreat.
Day spent in the Forest with the option of one long walk or morning and afternoon birdwalks. Dinner and overnight at the retreat.
Depart after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru lodge for lunch (200kms). Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon coming to shores of this salt water lake in search Flamingoes and Pelicans and a host of other bird species. Lake Nakuru is also home to the rare Rothchild Giraffe and the endangered White Rhino. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Depart after breakfast and head south to the world famous Maasai Mara Reserve arriving at Fig Tree camp in time for lunch. Later embark on a 2hour game drive in search of the elusive “Big Five” that includes the Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Enjoy a full day in the reserve with an option of enjoying a Hot air Balloon safari over the Mara.
Day spent with different experiences that include a visit to a local school to present desks to the needy students while interacting with the locals and later visiting a local village, Exciting game drives are also on the menu. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Depart after breakfast and return to Nairobi visiting Karen Blixen Museum before having lunch at the carnivore restaurant and later drop at the airport for flight to Mombasa or home.
