Transforming Education in Narok: Desk Sponsorship for Irbaan Primary School

Geoffrey’s Travels is championing education equity through its desk sponsorship initiative at Irbaan Primary School in Narok County, Kenya. With 511 pupils (267 boys, 244 girls) currently lacking adequate learning tools, this CSR project aims to provide durable desks funded by client donations. By addressing the critical need for a conducive learning environment, the initiative empowers students to focus on their studies and unlock their potential. Contributions directly sponsor desks, ensuring every child has a safe, dedicated space to learn. Partner with us to bridge the education gap and invest in Kenya’s future leaders.

Geoffrey's Travels - CSR Activities 2

In Kenya’s Komolion Pokot district, Geoffrey Travels supports a transformative Alternative Rite of Passage (ARP) initiative, led by the Noonkera Women and Family Support Group (NWFSG) and funded by Sharyn Dowd and partners. This program replaces harmful FGM practices with empowering education, teaching girls about health risks, children’s rights, and the importance of education while preserving Pokot cultural identity. Over three days, 12 girls engaged in workshops led by local leaders, nurses, and educators, culminating in a graduation ceremony attended by community leaders and role models. By collaborating with government officials, social services, and families, this community-driven effort addresses FGM’s health dangers and promotes gender equality. With plans for annual events, this initiative aims to eradicate FGM while celebrating Pokot heritage.
