Day 1 Nairobi-Naivasha
Arrive in Nairobi in the morning and drive to Naivasha. You will arrive at Lake Naivasha Country Club. Lunch, dinner and overstay at the hotel.
Day 2 Naivashai-Lake Nakuru
Breakfast at the Hotel and proceed for a boat ride. You will then head to Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park.
A game drive in Nakuru National Park which is, of course, known for its birdlife as thousands of flamingos make this lake their home, among hundreds of other species. But wildlife is also in abundance here. You’ll see large numbers of waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, plains game, cheetah, and now rhino, as Lake Nakuru National Park has been made into one of Kenya’s rhino sanctuary.
Dinner and Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 3 Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara
Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Maasai Mara game reserve.
Leaving flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru behind, you head southwards and turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment.
Then heading due south, you travel towards Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. You’ll travel across the “breadbasket” of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley before you
reach your destination, Fig Tree Camp.
Lunch at Fig Tree Camp.
Afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, The Mara is noted for its abundance of lions – particularly the superb black maned males. You are also likely to see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as – if you’re lucky leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You’re sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and Enjoy yourselves!
Dinner and Overnight at Fig Tree.
Day 4 Maasai Mara
(Today you will also have an opportunity to go for a spectacular Optional Balloon ride across the Maasai Mara. Please note that this is an optional extra not included in the tour package. The cost is US $ 450.00 per person)
Breakfast at the Camp then enjoy morning and afternoon game drives.
Meals and Overnight at Fig Tree Camp. (FB)
Day 5 Maasai Mara-Nairobi
Breakfast at the camp and thereafter drive back to Nairobi.
Leave Masai Mara and head back to Narok, district headquarters of this part of Maasailand and then travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle and head up the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. You will arrive in Kenya’s bustling capital city in the early afternoon. Drop off at Holiday INN for relaxation.
In the evening transfer to Carnivore / Tamarind for dinner. Overnight at Holiday INN. (BB)
Day 6 Depart or Mombasa Extension
Pickup and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for International flight back to your original destination or optional beach holiday in Mombasa.
