Day 1
Pick up and depart for Tsavo East National Park.
You will head for Tsavo East National Park, through Bachuma Gate.
The park is home to Zebra, impala, waterbuck, wildebeest, cheetah and giraffe to name but a few! You will visit Aruba Dam, one of the best places for elephant and lion.
Lunch will be at Voi Wildlife Lodge.
Afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 2
Breakfast at the lodge then you will depart for Tsavo West National Park.
Tsavo West National Park, with its diverse scenery with many volcanic cones, rock outcrops and lava flows. A short trip to Mzima Springs, playground to the hippos, crocs and tropical fish, will follow.

Day 3
Early morning game drive.
Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Amboseli National Park.
An early morning departure takes you west, across the spectacular Shetani lava flow, reminder of the molten outpouring that spilled down the scenic slopes of the nearby Chyulu Hills over the last three centuries. the road climbs through scrub thorn and acacia look for the unusual looking long necked gerenuk antelope here to the grassy ridge at the top. Before you, lie the shimmering plains that stretch away to Amboseli National Park, at the foot of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, home to a wealth of wildlife but particularly known for its elephants. By lunchtime you’ll reach Amboseli Serena Lodge, in the heart of the park and featuring unique architecture reminiscent of Maasai village and, of course, dramatic views of Africa’s highest mountain.

A game drive through Amboseli take you across this vast lakebed often dry, but still very swampy in areas. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of elephant you’ll often find many of them standing knee deep in the water, spraying themselves to keep cool. But there’s a lot of other game here too cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, many types of gazelle and other plains game and it’s all set against the amazing backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory.

Day 5
Early morning game drive in the park.
Breakfast at the lodge then drive back to Nairobi.
Perhaps catching a clear early morning view of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you leave Amboseli behind, head west to the colourful border town of Namanga, where you may find a good bargain on unique Maasai beadwork. then turn north along a good tarmac road across the beautiful and seemingly never ending Athi Plains, arriving in Kenya’s bustling capital city, Nairobi, in time for lunch.

After Lunch you will proceed to Aberdares National park.
You will journey north, passing near Thika, which boasts the world’s third largest pineapple plantation and Karatina with its colourful market. Soon you’ll be at Nyeri, one of Kenya’s major towns and provincial headquarters and then on to the Aberdare Country Club.
1700 hrs Club transport takes you to the Ark. A uniquely shaped lodge tucked away in the
Aberdares National Park forest. The lodge’s water hole and salt lick are well lit at night when the animals come to drink and a well concealed “hide” affords eye to eye viewing of forest elephant and other game, including the endangered black rhino. Please look out for: Baboon, Buffalo, Bushbuck, Bush pig, Civets, Duikers, Giant Forest Hog, Colobus and Syke’s Monkeys. The birdlife includes some species not common in other places among them being: Green Ibis, Rufous Sparrow Hawk, Mountain Buzzard, Crowned Eagle and the Silvery Cheeked – Hornbill.
NB: Warm clothing is advisable as nights tend to be chilly, but only an overnight bag is required. The rest of the luggage is stored at the Aberdare Country Club.

Day 6
Early breakfast and later transfer back to Aberdare Country Club to rejoin your Safari driver and drive to Samburu game reserve. You will drive north, Shortly you’ll turn off on the main road to Nanyuki, travelling through the sleepy village of Naro Moru, a haven for trout fishermen and mountain climbers, as this is where the stout hearted begin their ascent on Africa’s second highest massif, Mount Kenya. You’ll continue north through some breathtaking scenery, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it’s a fairly short hop to your destination: Samburu Serena Lodge.

This reserve is located within the lands of the colourful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and harbours a number of wild life species rarely found elsewhere. These includes; Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx, all species found only north of the equator.

Day 8
Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Sweetwaters. You will drive south to the Sweetwaters tented camp. Sweetwaters is the name adopted by the local people of this area for the fresh sweet water tapped from the ground.

Afternoon game drive in the reserve.
This 24,000 acre rhino sanctuary is located in typical savannah grasslands interrupted by “whistling thorn” shrubs, acacia trees and lush green vegetation along The Uaso Nyiro River. Here giraffe, zebra, eland, oryx, waterbuck, grants gazelle, thomspsons gazelle, elephant, buffalo, silver backed jackal, ostrich, hartebeest, baboon, hippo, and rhino roam free. There are also several bird species to observe.

Day 9
Breakfast at the camp then depart for Lake Nakuru National park.
Leaving Sweetwaters and Mount Kenya behind, you’ll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson’s Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Now travel in a southerly direction to your next destination: Lake Nakuru, coloured a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. You’ll arrive at Lion Hill Lodge affording unforgettable views of the lake from its hillside perch. The Lodge also is a perfect base from which to explore the lake, with its fabulous array of birds as well as many types of game, including waterbuck, rhino, leopard and buffalo.

A game drive in Nakuru National Park which is, of course, known for its birdlife as thousands of flamingos make this lake their home, among hundreds of other species. But wildlife is also in abundance here. You’ll see large numbers of waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, plains game, cheetah, and now rhino, as Lake Nakuru National Park has been made into one of Kenya’s rhino sanctuary.

Day 10
Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Maasai Mara game reserve.
Leaving flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru behind, you head southwards and turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then heading due south, you travel towards Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. You’ll travel across the “breadbasket” of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley before you reach your destination, Mara Serena Lodge.

Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, particularly when the migration is on and millions of wildebeests and zebras make their way back and forth cross the Mara River on their annual trek. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions – particularly the superb black maned males. You’ll see lots of elephants here often in large
herds, as well as – if you’re lucky – leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents.
You’re sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and enjoy yourselves!

After lunch, you will be transferred to the Airstrip for your domestic flight to Mombasa. On arrival you will at Moi Airport you will be met and transferred to your Mombasa hotel.
