Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar - Stone Town Tour

Arrive at Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ) and transfer to your hotel in historic Stone Town. In the afternoon, embark on a guided tour featuring the main market, Anglican Church, House of Wonders, Forodhani Gardens, and the Old Fort.

Day 2: Zanzibar Spice Tour

Day 4: Fly to Arusha - Safari to Tarangire National Park

Fly to Arusha Airport (ARK). Meet your safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive. Famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Climate

Mainland Tanzania (Safari – Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater):

  • Generally warm and sunny during the day, with cool nights, especially in the highland areas around the Ngorongoro Crater (which can be quite chilly in the early morning and evening).

Zanzibar Island (Beach):

  • Hot, humid, and tropical year-round, moderated by pleasant ocean breezes.

Visas

  • A visa is required for most international travelers. It can be obtained on arrival at major airports or online as an e-Visa. The cost is typically $50 for a single-entry visa, which covers both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

  • Check requirements via the Tanzania Immigration Department. 

Health

  • Yellow Fever Certificate: Required if arriving from a Yellow Fever endemic country.
  • Malaria: Present in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. Prophylaxis is highly recommended.

  • Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). US Dollars (USD) are widely accepted. Bring new, unblemished USD bills (dated 2009 or later).

  • For Safari: Neutral-colored clothing, warm layers for cool nights, binoculars, camera, sunscreen, hat.

Gratuities

Tipping is customary. We recommend:
