Day 3: Sunday, October 5, 2025 – Cape Point Tour

Private Guided Cape Point Tour Including Boulders Beach & The Penguins (Meals Excluded)
Full Day Activity
Awe-Inspiring Tour to the Towering Headland, Cape Point
Embark on an awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Jutting out into the ocean, this rugged and rocky peninsula has become synonymous with the Cape of Storms since the explorer Bartolomeu Dias first set his sights on it in 1488. In those days, sailors saw Cape Point as both a useful landmark and a terrifying hazard, depending on the time of day and the weather.

No longer feared, Cape Point has become a popular attraction. Home to sweeping vistas, spectacular landscapes, and rich fauna and flora, there's no denying the beauty of this historic land formation. Looking east, travelers can marvel at False Bay and the long, swooping curve that it forms on the southern Cape coastline, dotted with crags and cliffs, sandy beaches, and turquoise waters.

At certain times of the year, the icy Atlantic Ocean, carrying the Benguela current, collides with the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, fynbos-littered hiking trails, and a collection of historic and picturesque coastal villages visited en route are all part of our Cape Point Tour package.

Keep a warm jumper with you at all times. Cape Town is known to have four seasons in one day!

Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbor with magnificent mountain views and beaches. Continue via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point—perceived to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Continue onward to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base, and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin, and wooden walkways allow visitors to view them in their natural habitat. There is a new information center to visit as well, and we will stop for lunch nearby.

Note: The drive via Chapman’s Peak is subject to the road being open. Ou Kaapse Weg will be used as an alternative route when necessary.
Option Includes: Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Chapman's Peak tolls (if applicable).
Lunch: Optional extra at Harbour House Restaurant in Kalk Bay.

Day 5: Tuesday, October 7, 2025 – Transfer to Stellenbosch

Welcome to Stellenbosch
Today you will arrive in Stellenbosch, a picturesque town in the heart of South Africa's wine country. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and majestic mountains, Stellenbosch is renowned for its historic architecture, world-class wineries, and vibrant cultural scene.

Explore South Africa's Oldest Wine Route
Only about 45 minutes’ drive from Cape Town, you’ll find the wine-making epicenter of South Africa: the Stellenbosch Wine Route. Comprising over 140 wineries, this is not only the Cape Winelands’ most prolific wine-producing region but also the country’s oldest wine route. And that’s not even counting the berry, cheese, and olive farms interspersed along the route.

Because of its vast size, the Stellenbosch Wine Route has been divided into five sub-routes:

  • Stellenbosch Valley & Stellenbosch Berg: Known for Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay (e.g., Spier and Lanzerac estates).

  • Greater Simonsberg (Cabernet Country): North toward Paarl.

  • Bottelary Hills: Signature Pinotage near Cape Town.

  • Helderberg: Balanced whites and reds.

Stellenbosch’s Mediterranean-like climate (sizzling-hot summers and soggy-wet winters) and diverse soil (ranging from gravel to clay) have made the region well-suited for wine production. The French Huguenots who settled here in the 1690s spotted this quality early on and—thanks to their knowledge of viticulture—put into motion a wine-making history that has lasted over 300 years.
